THE GREAT HALL
As Harry enters Hogwarts in the first book, two magical things catch his eyes: the floating candles and the Sorting Hat. The candles were partly created by Giulia and partly by me, by decorating some toilet paper rolls with hot glue and by painting them white. Later on I added some transparent fishing line to hang them. The led tealight candles created an incredibly realistic effect!
The hat was a last minute creation, yet it turned out really good, except for the fact that the paint didn't dry off in time and unfortunately the guests couldn't wear it.
We also hanged some more decorative string lights and spider webs and all that creepy stuff that made my living room look gloomy and festive. Once we hanged the candles the result was really impressive and worth the effort.
