I'm going to structure my posts about my Harry Potter party differently from how I did with the previous ones: this time we'll see what me and Giulia did step by step, since we've decorated many different parts of my house according to the part of the Wizarding World we wanted to recreate. Let's begin with the first one:

OLLIVANDERS

Giulia created the wands all by herself, by decorating some chopsticks with hot glue and painting once they were dry. She did a great job, and each guest had to pick one for the party, everybody was so enthusiastic about it! Myself included of course.

I took care of all of the signs, and for this one I used some acrylic paint and a gold UniPosca marker. My coat hanger was perfect for the Ollivanders sign to be hanged with a gold chain, so we decided to use the hanger as a "shop window".

I also had this lovely wooden case, originally made to contain art supplies, which I lined with some purple-blueish velvet fabric and placed on the hanger to display the wands.

Later on we decorated the hanger with some fake spider webs and a couple led tealights. It looked really great and it made a great first impression on our guests, since it was placed in the hallway.
